Sheet Metal Slitting Line for Medium Gauge 3 to 8mm thickness, Metal sheet mostly are steel sheet, coil sheet material can be hot rolled (HR, HRC, HRS), cold rolled (CR, CRC, CRS), Galvanized sheet (GI) or Stainless Steel sheet (SUS, STS, SS) below 6mm. Coil sheet width range vary from 1250mm to 2000mm, it depends on customer coil materials source.
Medium gauge Slitting line Characters:
- machines are strong and precise, machine structure will be proportionally stronger than thin gauge slitting line, meanwhile the cutting precision is the same level as thin sheet (+/-0.10mm)
- the slitting speed is variable (50-120m/min) for different thickness slitting, proportional to sheet gauge, the thinner speed higher, the thicker speed lower, we give dual speed transmission ratio to realize the best efficiency.
- Uncoiler usually double mandrel type for heavy load metal coils 25T -30T.
- Scrap winder is heavy load, each side one winder, either drum type or center support type.
- Medium sheet tension station either the same as thin sheets (felt pads) or heavy duty (rollers type), tension is adjustable.
- Recoiler separator either overarm type or portal frame type, parallel pressing strips down over recoil mandrel with coiling diameter increasing, with pressing pressure is adjustable.
- Slitter can be fast change double slitters or fast tools changing turret.
- Dimensions of medium gauge slitting line: 30 -35m length x 10m width
